That Bitch Mother Nature

That Bitch Mother Nature

There’s thunder and lightning here today. We rarely get thunder and lightning. It’s the Pacific Northwest. We get tons of rain but when there’s lightning we all freeze because if we breathe or move the sky might actually fall and smash our asses. And when it snows….don’t get me started. I think that’s why we drink so much coffee here in Seattle. How else are we going to get through the rain?

About jkhughes2

I'm fat and I hate my job. Well kinda. Kinda on both of those. I love to read and work in a library where they don't let me read. But as long as I get to be around books I'm happy. I once wanted to be a writer and then realized that I'm too lazy to write a book but not too lazy to write a blog. And blogging is like keeping a journal except my posts are the equivalent of verbal diarrhea. And oh yeah. I have really low self-esteem. I have a dog named Max but I call him Maxhole. He's the first dog I've ever had. I find his daily life way more interesting than mine or most people I know. That's about it. I hate politics and computer books. I secretly wish I was Doctor Who but can't remember if that's "was" or "were." Now that's it.

Now, now…it’s not nice to curse Mother Nature….tsk! tsk! WHen I was up in Seattle for a business trip, it always looked like it would rain but never did. The folks up there say it doesn’t really rain so much. It is just overcast always. Whatever it is that keeps it so nice and lush and green is the thing we need more of in parched California. If you can just redirect the lightning to focus on Sacramento please, and the wet stuff everywhere else, that would be excellent. Nice pic.

I am sending my vibes out into the world to redirect the lightning! As soon as I finished typing the word Bitch a peal of thunder rattled the house. Seattle is mostly gray but we’ve been having a lot of rain lately. I love it here because of all that green. And coffee. And then more coffee.

Coffee as we know and enjoy it was born there. Have you ever read a book called “Stupid and Contagious”? I think that’s the name…loaned it to one of my girls…they have it still…kids! Anyway, it’s written by the daughter of Tina Louis (Ginger, Gilligan Island). Look it up. Read it. Hilarious. All about a guy who has an idea he wants to personally present to president of Starbucks.

Now that sounds like a good book. And since I work at a library I should be able to find it somewhere around here. Thanks.
